BOSTON – As Americans prepare to pay tribute to our military this holiday weekend, the Brown campaign today released the latest Scott Brown Radio Report, called “Memorial Day.” The statewide radio ad is running this week.
In the ad, Brown pays tribute to the sacrifice made by the men and women who defend our freedoms around the world. Brown reminds listeners to stand by soldiers, veterans and their families this Memorial Day, and to never forget the sacrifices they make for our freedom. Brown also discusses his service in Afghanistan last year as a member of the National Guard.
This 60-second advertisement is part of a series of “Radio Reports” to be released by Brown during the course of the campaign. A transcript of the ad appears below.

Script for Scott Brown Radio Report: Memorial Day
ANNOUNCER: “Here’s Scott Brown with a Scott Brown Radio Report.”
U.S. SENATOR SCOTT BROWN: “Hello, this is Scott Brown.
“Last year I served my National Guard duty in Afghanistan. I had the experience of working alongside fellow U.S. soldiers and Guard members.
“That service reminded me that nothing I, or anyone else does, can come close to the sacrifices made by our military in defending our freedoms around the world.
“New heroes are paying that price today in far off and dangerous places.
“This Memorial Day is a time for us to remember all of those who risk everything for love of country.
“Every fallen soldier, every wounded veteran and every grieving loved one has paid the price for freedom. It falls on us to care for those left behind; to console, and to remember the huge debt we owe them.
“Those who risk everything for love of country and freedom will always remain in our hearts.”
