BOSTON - Today, the Brown campaign announced that it had accepted another debate offer from WTKK, 96.9 FM Boston Talks. The forum would be hosted by Jim Braude, a former Democratic Cambridge City Councilor, and newspaper columnist Margery Eagan.
Yesterday, Senator Brown challenged Warren to meet him for their first debate on WBZ Radio with Dan Rea. She has yet to accept the invitation.
“Debates are an opportunity to get beyond the sound bites and find out where the candidates really stand,” said Senator Brown. “Professor Warren has very radical ideas that will kill jobs and make our economy weaker. I believe that in order to create jobs we need to hold the line on taxes, restrain government spending and debt, create certainty and stability when it comes to our regulation and adopt pro-growth policies that will put people back to work. I hope she accepts these first two debates so that we can more fully discuss our differences.”
