BOSTON – Today, the Brown campaign launched a web video featuring Gail Huff, wife of U.S. Senator Scott Brown, and their two daughters Ayla and Arianna Brown, wishing dads everywhere a happy Father’s Day.
In the video, Ayla and Arianna share some of their favorite Father’s Day memories growing up, including giving their dad homemade coupons with no expiration dates that he still occasionally tries to redeem.
The video concludes with Ayla saying to her dad, “You’ve always been there for me and supported me in everything I wanted to do,” and Arianna wishing a “happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful fathers out there.”

AYLA BROWN: One of our greatest memories with our Dad is giving him coupons every Father’s Day and – he’s funny – we were too young to know what expiration dates were so we would come up with these awesome coupons like ‘home cooked meal’ or ‘going to the gym with Daddy,’ and we’d draw these great pictures with it. Even now, sometimes when we’re home, he’ll bring out the coupons and say, ‘Hey girls, I think I want to take you up on that mile run right now.’ We’ll try and say it expired. We’ve learned from our experiences, and we’ll put the expiration date, good for a year. That’s one of my favorite memories of Father’s Day is doing those things together and giving him coupons when we didn’t have the money to actually get him a gift, but it still meant a lot.
GAIL HUFF: Do you remember that Father’s Day we went camping and we got that great, big huge, huge chocolate chip cookie?
ARIANNA BROWN: Yes.
HUFF: You were so excited about that. What happened?
ARIANNA BROWN: We went down to the water and I probably tried to sneak into the cookie cake before I was allowed to, left the top off of it and we cameback and about a trillion ants were crawling out of it, around it and all over it.
HUFF: You were so upset.
ARIANNA BROWN: I was so upset. I think I probably still tried to feed it to Dad though.
AYLA BROWN: Dad is an amazing guy and an amazing father and he’s been there for us no matter what and for that I want to say, Dad, I love you, happy Father’s Day. You’ve always been there for me and supported me in everything I wanted to do.
ARIANNA BROWN: I love you Dad. I want to say happy Father’s Day and happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful fathers out there.
HUFF: He’s just been a wonderful father all these years. Twenty three years old, 21 years old – it has been 23 years of wonderful, wonderful Father’s Days. Happy Father’s day to everyone out there.
