Two weeks before federal student loan rates are set to double, Republican Sen. Scott Brown is pushing a bipartisan measure in Congress to keep the interest rates at 3.4 percent for another year.
“The job market is dismal and the cost of getting a college education is totally out of control,” Brown said in a prepared statement.
