Republican Senator Scott Brown is standing up for Wrentham’s residents and their right to fly the American flag, after they were told by local authorities to remove them.
According to the letter sent from Wrentham Housing Authority on July 11th residents of Garden Lane were asked to remove the flags due to a tenant’s repeated complaints reported to the Department of Housing and Community Development over the Fourth of July holiday.
Brown issued the following statement regarding these reports:
“Our flag stands for freedom, and is a symbol of the sacrifice made by our servicemen and women to protect the liberties we enjoy today,” he said.
