BOSTON - Today, U.S. Senator Scott Brown issued the following statement on a new study from the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) showing that raising taxes will hurt the economy and small businesses:
“Today’s report from the nation’s leading small business organizations is further proof that Elizabeth Warren is a jobs destroyer. According to NFIB estimates, Professor Warren’s plans to raise taxes on small businesses would destroy over 700,000 jobs around the country. At a time when the economy is teetering on the brink of a double-dip recession, this is the worst possible approach. Our focus must remain on creating a business-friendly environment where Massachusetts companies can grow, expand and create more jobs. Professor Warren’s job-destroying tax hikes are the last thing that our struggling economy needs.”
