BOSTON- During a campaign stop in Medford today, U.S. Senator Scott Brown picked up the endorsement of another Democratic leader: City Councilor Rick Caraviello.
“As a lifelong Democrat, I am proud to support Senator Scott Brown in his re-election bid,” said Councilor Caraviello. “As a small business owner, it is important to me that Senator Brown continues to fight to reduce the regulations that suppress small business owners from growing in this difficult economy. During his time in office, Senator Brown has worked tirelessly for the people of Massachusetts and I believe he will continue to do so. His record of bipartisan accomplishments in just two short years is truly impressive.”
“It is an honor to receive the endorsement of Democratic City Councilor Rick Caraviello,” said Senator Brown. “It is important for Republicans and Democrats to work together to tackle the very serious challenges before us and move our nation forward. Support from Democrats like Councilor Caraviello shows that progress is possible through bipartisanship.”
Rick Caraviello is a lifelong Democrat and a first-term City Councilor. He is a small business owner and a past president and Executive Director of the Medford Chamber of Commerce. Caraviello joins a growing list of Democrats and independents who have endorsed Senator Brown, including:
