SCOTT BROWN ROLLS OUT DEMOCRATS FOR BROWN COALITION
Group Features Prominent Massachusetts Democratic Leaders & Nearly 500 Grassroots Democratic Supporters
BOSTON - Today, the Brown campaign unrolled its “Democrats for Brown” coalition featuring prominent Democratic leaders throughout Massachusetts, as well as nearly 500 grassroots Democratic supporters throughout the state.
This morning in Malden, Democratic State Representative Chris Fallon became the first sitting elected official to cross the aisle and back Brown. Video of the endorsement is available HERE.
Yesterday, Brown traveled to Springfield to pick up the support of the former Democratic mayor of the city, Charlie Ryan. Video of the endorsement is available HERE.
“I’m truly honored to receive the support of so many Democratic leaders across our state,” said Senator Brown. ”During these challenging economic times, we need to be working with – not against – each other to get things done for the people we represent. We need more bridge-builders and fewer rock throwers. I’m extremely grateful for the support of these Democrats, and pledge to continue working across party lines with any person of good will to find common ground and move our country forward.”
“I’m a lifelong Democrat, and I am supporting Scott Brown,” said Democrats for Brown co-chair and former mayor of Boston Ray Flynn. “Scott is a good and honest man, and an independent voice who always does what’s right for the people of Massachusetts.”
Three members of the Democrats for Brown leadership team have appeared in Scott Brown television ads touting his bipartisanship and record of independence in the U.S. Senate: Ray Flynn, the former mayor of Boston;Konnie Lukes the former mayor of Worcester and Paul Walsh, the former District Attorney from Bristol County.
