Senator Brown was recently a guest on the Hill Man Morning Show on WAAF radio discussing several issues ranging from the death penalty in reference to the brutal beating of 7-year-old Nathaniel Turner from Worcester allegedly at the hands of his father, the Commonwealth’s spending to place homeless families in motels, and the recently signed into law ethics reform bill.

Senator Brown on Boston’s Talk Evolution with Michelle McPhee discussing a bill he filed Friday, October 30th that expands legal protection for Good Samaritans in response to the hospital shooting at Massachusetts General Hospital. Brown’s legislation expands the Good Samaritan Law to allow anyone who uses deadly force to protect themselves or another person from murder, aggravated rape, rape, manslaughter or armed robbery. BROWN DISCUSSING WHEELS FOR WELFARE

Senator Brown appeared in a Fox News Channel interview Friday, May 8th for a discussion with Shepard Smith to voice his opposition for a state program that provides free cars to welfare recipients. Sen. Brown argues that regardless of the good intention of the cars being donated, this program ultimately does not represent the best use of taxpayer dollars when the state picks up the tab for the cars’ insurance, registration, excise tax, inspections and repairs, as well as free AAA membership.

BROWN ON FEDERAL STIMULUS PACKAGE FOR NEEDHAM

Senator Brown recently appeared in two separate Fox 25 News stories with Joe Battenfeld, one regarding the way social networking has changed the way politicians operate and the other regarding dog days at the State House.

Senator Brown appeared in a Fox News Channel interview Tuesday, February 17 and voiced his opposition to the proposed Massachusetts plan to charge drivers by the mile. In response, Sen. Brown has filed Legislation that would prohibit the practice. Sen. Brown’s legislation prevents any type of mandatory inspection sticker, license plate, or identifying decals issued by the state from having any sort of tracking chip or electronic device used to track the mileage of the vehicle for state taxation purposes.
