Constituent Services

State Resources

If you need help working through the state bureaucracy or want to learn more about a legislative issue, we have a lot of resources to help you.

Federal Resources

Constituents may also need help on the federal level. Contact your Congressman or United State Senator for help with national issues.

                             Internships

We offer internships in our office year round. Scheduling is flexible; interns can serve for as little as 6 hours or as much as 40 hours each week. During the summer the legislature hosts a speaking series for interns. General intern duties include drafting constituent correspondence, researching legislation, and compiling news clips.

District Hour Schedule

Senator Brown’s office holds district hours every month. They provide constituents an opportunity to stop in and voice any concerns they may have to Austin Lord, Sen. Brown’s District Aide. No appointment is necessary.

Beacon Hill Report with Scott Brown Schedule

Senator Brown films a cable show that airs on his district’s local cable access networks. The Senator answers constituents’ questions on the air, so if you have a question you’d like to ask Sen. Brown please e-mail it to Scott.P.Brown@state.ma.us.

                                                                       Massachusetts State House Tours

The Massachusetts State House is one of the most historic structures in the United States. State House tours are conducted by the staff of the Tours and Government Education Division of the Secretary of the Commonwealth's Office and by volunteers well-versed in the history and architectural background of the State House. The tours are given weekdays year-round from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, and are free of charge. The State House is closed on weekends and holidays. Tours last approximately 30-45 minutes and include an overview of the history and architecture of the State Capitol as well as visits to the major ceremonial halls and the chambers of the Senate and House of Representatives. Tours for school classes and other groups of 10 or more should be scheduled at least three weeks in advance. For more information please visit the State House Tours Office.

        State House Security Information

State House security regulations require all visitors to pass through metal detectors and have their bags and packages scanned.

However, all requests for tours of Washington, DC landmarks like the White House and the U.S. Capitol need to be coordinated through one of our Congressional representatives. Use the links below to contact either your representatives in Congress about available tours. You can also learn more at the White House's Tours page or the U.S. Capitol's Tours page.
