It is my great honor to serve you in the Massachusetts State Senate.

I have worked tirelessly to implement common sense reforms that will make state government more efficient and responsive to you, the taxpayers.

I believe that by reforming state government and running a cost-efficient state, only then, will we have the necessary funds for the many services, social programs, and infrastructure priorities we expect and hold dear.

Thank you for participating in this survey. I appreciate your time, and I respect your views.

I have spent countless hours in each of the twelve towns in my District listening to what you, the voters, expect from state government and your State Senator.

Time and time again, I have been on the forefront of many major policy decisions that affect our quality of life in Massachusetts. I have worked with my colleagues in the House and Senate in a bi-partisan manner to try to do what is right and most beneficial for my district and the Commonwealth.

Additionally, I have sponsored legislation to help get sexual predators off our streets and avoid the preventable tragedies that have befallen too many citizens of the Commonwealth. I have worked to provide law enforcement with all the tools they need to ensure the safety of our communities. I will continue to secure adequate funding for our police and fire personnel, teachers and schools. I have helped to expand prescription drug coverage for our seniors and try to keep businesses and employers in Massachusetts. In the wake of the many scandals that have plagued state government, I have filed several pieces of legislation designed to increase the transparency of our government and increase the accountability of our elected officials.
